Jeff Alexander enters the swimming pool industry in California, starting three generations of pool building.
Jeff’s son Jim Alexander is building concrete pools in California as one of the state’s first concrete pool builders. In one Imperial Valley year, the family story records Renaissance building 46 of the 49 pools constructed in the region.
The family moves to Southern Nevada, where Jim founds Renaissance Pools & Spas. Since 1991, Renaissance has built approximately 14,000 pools across Clark County.
A fiberglass pool goes on display at the Boulder Highway property and has run continuously ever since — durability you can still put your hand on today.
The company has never been sold and has never been bought out. The third generation is now part of the business, the family owns its property outright, and we plan to serve Las Vegas for generations to come.

Credentials & Associations
President Jim Alexander is the only residential contractor appointed to the board by both Governor Jim Gibbons and Governor Brian Sandoval — two consecutive terms, six years total — and the board retained him as its consultant on fiberglass pool installations.
